The Dronne is a magnificent river, probably one of the most beautiful rivers in France, but also a paradise for trout and therefore, inevitably, Perigord fishermen! Very close to the hotel, there is no shortage of very pretty and pleasant fishing spots, especially upstream of Brantôme, but also near Champagnac, Quinsac, St Pardoux and Saint Saud…
If you are passionate about river fishing, you just have to travel no more than 3 km from there to finally cast your line and wait for the fish to bite! In waders with your feet in the water or camping on the shore, you can spend pleasant moments closer to nature and catch beautiful trout, perch and pike!
Be careful, however, because on sunny days, the herbaria very present in many sectors can limit the choice of techniques used.
Recommended fishing techniques: toc fishing, dry fly fishing, handled dead fish, blow fishing, live fishing, casting… the choice is yours!
